Account Deletion
This page explains how to delete your Equi account and your personal data. Account deletion is available in the app and takes effect immediately.
What happens when you delete
- The homes you own are transferred to the co-member who joined earliest; people added by name who haven't joined are never chosen. A home where no other member has joined is permanently deleted.
- Recurring expenses you created are cancelled.
- Your personal data — your name, email address, and password — is erased.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you delete your account, it cannot be recovered.
How to delete your account
- Open the Equi app.
- Log in to your account.
- On the Your Projects list screen, tap the gear icon. It is on the projects list — not inside a home.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Account settings screen.
- Tap the red "Delete Account" button.
- Enter your account password to confirm.
No access to the app?
If you can no longer access the app, email us at contact@getequi.com and we will delete your account and data for you.
